Dr. Jennifer Johnson Kebea has been part of Drexel University’s expanding efforts around civic engagement since 2009. Currently, Jennifer serves as Executive Director of the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement. She is also affiliated faculty with Drexel University's School of Education and Goodwin College of Professional Studies.
Jennifer’s research interests revolve around a university’s dual role to serve as both a civic educator and as an anchor institution, and how universities intentionally engage students in anchor strategy. This line of inquiry has led Jennifer to reconsider exactly where and how the most integral forms of community engagement are happening on campuses across the nation.
