I'm the Director of the Learning Exchange at the University of British Columbia, Canada. The Learning Exchange is an off-campus unit located in the heart of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. For 20 years we've offered free community programming, experiential student learning and, more recently support for community-based research. In my staff role, I work closely with our Academic Director, and professional staff and student staff team, to build community and university capacity to work together on community-identified interests while supporting the mission and strategic priorities of our university.
