Shea joined U3 Advisors in 2013 as a research analyst to help build internal capacity for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) research. Since that time, Shea has grown to manage and guide much of U3 Advisor’s analytics, including real estate scans, mapping institutional demand drivers, and other geospatial analytics that support U3 Advisor’s data-driven approach to economic and real estate development. She has also taken a lead role in U3 Advisor’s Buy Local Initiatives, working with institutions to increase their capacity to transact with local businesses.

Shea earned his bachelor degree from Ithaca College and a masters in City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. While enrolled at Penn, Shea studied community development, though his primary research interests involved designing GIS-processes to address complex issues in planning.

When not working with U3 Advisors, Shea teaches several graduate-level courses in Geographic Information Systems at Philadelphia University.
